Mounting disk as ready only in Linux

Start Terminal and follow below steps

Create a mount point

$ sudo mkdir -p /mnt/MalforensicsLab/MountPoint/ 

List all disks and its partitions by using below command

$ sudo fdisk -l

Pick disk partition that you want to mount read only. Assuming you have selected /dev/sda1, run below command to mount as read only

$ sudo mount -o ro /dev/sda1 /mnt/MalforensicsLab/MountPoint/

Once your done, you unmount the disk by running below command

sudo umount /mnt/MalforensicsLab/MountPoint/
